Psychological assessments assist in identifying diagnoses, understanding behavior, treatment planning, and understanding unique strenghths and challenges of individuals, In addition, they can help answer legal questions such as identifying risks and/or safety concerns. I currently offer the following assessments;
Achievement testing measures a person's academic skills in areas like reading, writing, and math to understand how they are performing compared to expected grade or age levels. They are often used to identify learning differences, support school accomodations, or guide educational planning.
Diagnostic evaluations help identify mental health diagnoses by assessing symptoms, emotional functioning, and behavioral patterns. They assist with treatment planning, determining appropriate supports, and can provide documenation for accomodations.
Austism assessments evaluate social communication, behavior, and developmental history to determine if a person meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. They are used to clarify diagnosis, support access to services, and help individuals and families better understand someone's strengths and needs.
Personality assessments explore patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating to others to better understand an individual's personality traits and emotional functioning. They are useful to clarify diagnoses, inform treatment planning, and gain insight into long-standing behavioral and relational patterns.
School risk assessments evaluate a student's thoughts, behaviors, and circumstances to determine if there is a risk of harm to self or others within the school environment. They are used to ensure safety, guide appropriate interventions, and support the student's school success.
Additional assessments may be available pending consultation.
